National Cotton Cultivar Trials 2014-15
The necessity of the National Cotton Cultivar trials cannot be over-emphasized. Cultivars differ in their ability to produce optimally under different environmental conditions. The
National Cotton Cultivar Trials are conducted in order to prescribe the correct cultivars and the information is distributed in the form of annual reports. Cultivars are evaluated for yield
potential, adaptation and fibre quality. The information is required for making decisions on the release of new cultivars and for making cultivar recommendations to producers.
