Our Mission
is to effectively integrate the entire cotton supply chain with the aim to:
- Facilitate forward planning and long-term contracting to ensure that production meets demand
- Create partnerships among supply chain stakeholders and service providers to ensure scalable solutions
- Incubate, develop & encourage participation by SMMEs
- Ensure supply chain traceability to protect the integrity of sustainability claims and to measure programme impact
Our Objectives

Research
Conduct research and technology to support the development of shared national resources

Resources
Establish and manage shared national resources to provide an enabling environment for Sustainable Cotton Cluster members as well as other sub-cluster members

Incubation
Incubate opportunities to stimulate sustainable employment within small and medium enterprises (SMMEs) across the entire cotton value chain, from farms to final product.

Development
Develop and maximise the production of cotton

Representation
Establish a national sector body that represents the entire cotton industry value chain from fibre to end product – bringing together like-minded sector leaders who work closely with the public sector to map out the future development of the industry and address mutual issues of national concern

Benchmarking
Achieve global best practice status by measuring the Sustainable Cotton Cluster's deliverables and performance against international benchmarking standards
